Okay heres the deal (from what ive been told).....
Its 1978, a french film maker has 10 minutes of film left in a can after a movie shoot. He challanges a friend that is a pro f1 driver to make it across a certain part of Paris in under 10 minutes. They strap a gyro cam to the front of a svelt 275 GTB Ferrari (SEX MOBILE!) ANd this guy breakes every traffic law imaginable to get there, running red lights, going into on coming traffic and nearly killing ppl. Al the while blazing along burning rubber at over 100mph. He gets there in 8 minutes of unedited, single camera filming,
It is one of the coolest things Ive ever seen from the internet.

R0807 if you like this type of videos from the net either street/drag racing or just doing tricks on any vehicle you should check this guy that goes by "Ghostrider" . This fck3r goes around europe taunting cops by staging his bike infront of the donut shops, speeding over 300 mph weaving in and out of traffic pulling wheelis(yes pulling wheelis at 300mph). He supes up anything and everything from snowmobiles to ride on the road, jetskis, cars, and of course street bikes just to break the law. If you can get a hold of any 3 dvds (bootleg/buy) of ghostrider you wont be sry. dl'n from bit torrent p2p, mirc etc.. as copys anywere from cam, vcd, svcd, telesync, telecine etc.. is total crap and will come out lookin like this http://www.streetracersonline.com/videos/gr1.php
Please do not act like this guy, trust me acting stupid, trying to inpersinate, or showing off, had me shaking hands with god and made me to love and cherish life. + i wanna battle as much as i can with you guys.

W00t! Man those pigeons are quick... I was sure they'd go splat!
Reminds me of those "Getaway in Stockholms" videos, where the rip it through Germany (I beleive) in modern day cars & bikes.

VR, I hear those movies are dirived from this movie. There is some speculation to the validity of this film, arguing the sounds could have been dubbed over, but many of the peoples walk cycles and the speed of other cars makes me think its legit. But on the other hand ive watched it 10 times, and every time i think "yeah it could be fake"
Either way its SICK!
BTW Wong Ill look into the those DVD's, but you must have seen him doing 300kph, not Miles per hour - bikes cannot go that fast, VR can back me on that one...

Ho-hum... It would have been a lot more exciting if they did it two hours later and not 06:00 AM Sunday morning.

Yes i thought that to but with todays technology anythings possible. A stock busa's speedo reads up to 220mph wich may not go imo 220 but real close, hears a shot of it http://www.mccallcolors.com/video_player.htm. Just imagine a turbocharged busa with 8psi going well over 10k rpm's will do? it may not hit 300mph but traveling anywere at 220 and over is pritty damn fast in my books and would make me shit my pants.
I would love for you to get the videos and would share it with you anyway possible. Just lemme know. Sry guys for not playing the 2 days due to pulling double shifts but you can count on me tomorrow night(rofl 10 min. from now), Hey someone gotta bring home the bacon baby. Im just wondering what kind of presents am i gonna get me, an ATI Radeon X800 Pro 256MB AGP and a ZALMAN RESERATOR 1 Plus Fanless Water Cooling on ebay or a new bed cause my bed squeeks due to choke ooofing of the wife . Hmmmm... ill try work hard to buy it both.

Hey so, here's the speed estimates on that video robo posted.
CRAZY SPEED ESTIMATES CLICK HERE.LZ69er - Sat Nov 12, 2005 11:38 am Post subject:
Im not dissing the video. Just some thoughts when viewing the vid.
Having the camera close to the ground makes things appear to move a lot faster then they may actually be moving.
Without the sound. It could have been strapped to the bottom of a Yugo going 20mph and it would probably look similar.
Except for the pidgeons, there wasnt a lot of reference to indicate that the film wasnt "sped up" to make it look faster (like VRs vid).
Other then that. Cool Vid! Nice find robo.

I looked at EVERY walk cycle of the peds shown, end each person would have had to of been walking in slow motion if the film was sped up - Look at how slow the person in all white is walking. And look at across traffic, its CRAWLING - the busses and the white car he almost hits - I doubt everyone over there was driving 2mph.........
Also the people the remastered it to digital swear it was not speed up.
